Today there was a meeting of the final board of the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection: “On the results of the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection for 2024 and tasks for 2025”.

　　Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ivan Prikhodko, Deputy Chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee Oleg Korzun, deputy heads of district administrations, representatives of interested state bodies, heads of enterprises took part in the board meeting.

　　Chairman of the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Valentin Shatravko made a report on the work done during the reporting period. The report voiced the results of the committee's activities in the following areas: control work, protection of atmospheric air and water resources, waste management, protection and use of land, forests, fauna and flora and others.

　　“I consider it necessary to pay special attention in 2025 to control over the reduction of pollutant emissions into the atmospheric air, further work to control the spread and number of invasive plants, the effectiveness of control measures. Environmental culture is inculcated not only by fines, but first of all by carrying out systematic preventive and informational work - the activities of the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection in this direction are at a high level and its best results should be spread to all regions of the republic,” - emphasized Ivan Prikhodko.
