The draft presidential decree on the state program for 2025 has been submitted for public discussion, the Norma legal portal reported.
The draft program includes measures to implement the strategy “Uzbekistan - 2030”, planned for 2025, which is declared the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy.
It defines practical measures, a list of draft normative legal acts to be developed and target indicators in the context of priority directions of the Strategy “Uzbekistan - 2030”.
The draft state program provides 295 practical measures for 2025 in 5 priority directions, a list of 87 normative legal acts and target indicators in the context of each direction.
Ecology - environmental protection and water resources saving;
social policy - education, health care, social protection, youth;
green economy - ensuring the welfare of the population through sustainable economic growth;
Public administration and judicial and legal sphere - ensuring the rule of law, organizing governance in the service of the people;
The program identifies key priorities for the country's development in 2025:
improving the ecological appearance of mahallas, increasing the level of greening of streets, formation of environmentally favorable and prosperous environment for living;
Strengthening the health of the population, creating conditions for the formation of an ecological lifestyle and realization of human potential;
careful treatment and rational use of natural resources, ensuring environmental sustainability;
protection, reproduction and preservation of flora and fauna for future generations;
sustainable financing of projects aimed at wide implementation of “green economy” principles, adaptation of the economy to climate change;
increasing the share of renewable energy in the energy balance of the country, including construction of large “green power plants” on the basis of PPP, expansion of the network of small and
micro-hydroelectric power plants in the regions, stimulation of installation of solar panels in households of the population;
Reducing the carbon footprint in the economy through the widespread use of modern energy-saving technologies in economic sectors and the social sphere;
ensuring interregional and intersectoral coordination aimed at environmental sustainability.
In order to organize qualitative and timely implementation of the program, quarterly targets and responsible executors for each item have been defined.
